Sometimes I’ll take a walk while the sun is setting just to see this house as the witches light their fires for the night. The glow from the windows is comforting, I know they are all in there tinkering, cooking, making things I would never understand, they are like starts come alive in secret. Some people in town are afraid of this house and the ladies who live in there, but I delight in their presence. Society is often scared of women who just like to do their own thing, but really they’re just making soups and reading books and conjuring goblins. It’s no big deal, and they always give out fresh bread at the farmer’s market.
